Adella Olivarri Hinkel, born December 26, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on September 1, 2026. Throughout her life, Adella was known for her generous spirit, warm hospitality, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Adella worked for Hudson’s as a display manager, a role that allowed her creativity and eye for detail to shine. That creativity carried into her personal life as well, where she enjoyed crafting and, perhaps most of all, cooking. Adella was a fantastic cook and loved bringing people together around the table. She especially enjoyed hosting fellowships, where good food, friendship, and conversation were always plentiful.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Adella was very active in the New Apostolic Church and formed many lasting friendships through her church and community. She was surrounded by many friends who loved her and will remember the kindness and generosity she so freely shared with others.

Adella was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Victor Hinkel, and her son, Paul Drzick Sr., and step-daughter, Elizabeth Laik.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Bob) Garrett, Kim (Greg) DeCamp, LaVern (Jodi) Drzick, David (Cheryl) Hinkel, and Bruce (Lisa) Hinkel; her grandchildren, Katie, Halle, Christopher, Joshua, Christian, Jadelyn, Matthew, Rachel, Rebecca, Brent, Emilie, Brendon, Allison, and April; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Adella shared a particularly special bond with her grandsons, Tory (Nicole) Drzick and Paul Drzick Jr., and her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Ezra Drzick, held an especially dear place in her heart.

Adella’s life was filled with faith, family, friendship, and service to others. Whether she was preparing a meal, welcoming people into fellowship, creating something with her hands, or simply helping someone who needed it, she had a way of caring for those around her. She leaves behind many people who loved her and countless memories that will continue to be shared by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in the near future at the New Apostolic Church.
